FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions
What rivers do you guide on? I fish several different river systems during the year, which allows me to move to the one that is producing the most fish or is in the best shape due to weather conditions. To name a few rivers the Cowlitz, Satsop, Wynoochee, of the Puget Sound and the  Bogachiel, Hoh and Sol Duc of the Olympic Peninsula.
How do you fish, what types of boats do you use? We fish from a boat most of the time and in some areas we will stop and fish from the bank.
Boat #1 is a 22' Jet Sled, this is an open boat equipped with a water jet for propulsion on the shallow rivers
Boat #2 is a 17' Drift Boat, this is also a open boat but is suited for the pristine rivers of the Olympic Peninsula. This type of boat allows us to fish areas that are un-fishable to other types of boats.
Boat #3 is a 22' conventional type of boat equipped with a fast motor which allows us to move to other areas on Puget Sound to fish for Sea-Run Cutthroat Trout.
What Type of tackle do we use and what type of bait do we use? We only use the best in light tackle such as Loomis rods and Ambassador or Shimano Reels. We use a large range of baits from naturals to plugs, spoons and other artificials.
