At certain times of the year, with our unpredictable weather, we can have the rivers go out of shape for a couple of days, and my wife says that if it goes any longer than 3 - 4 days I start to become a bear. I'm not sure about becoming a bear, but I'm sure I'm one of the first back on the river. My main concern is to give my clients a safe trip on the river and catch fish while meeting these objectives. I will not compromise safety to catch a fish. I will strive to make your trip an unforgettable fishing adventure. If you want to fish and cut bait you can go anywhere....... if you want to fish and catch fish and have a good time come and enjoy with me. Hope to see you on the river soon |

Hello, my name is Mike Hickey, I own and operate Upriver Guide Service in Washington State. I specialize in river fishing for Salmon, Steelhead and Cutthroat Trout. I fish some of the most beautiful areas and
rivers of the State of Washington. To name a few the Satsop, Wynoochee, Cowlitz Rivers and on the Olympic Peninsula the Hoh, Sol Duc and
Bogachiel Rivers. I have always been involved with commercial fishing, charter fishing or building boats . I have been a licensed
U.S.C.G. Captain for 30 yrs. I have always made a living from the chartering or the fishing industries of Washington. I look at fishing as a game. You train and train and when the game starts, I'll do everything I can to win, I sure hate to loose. I doubt that you can find anyone with more determination and enthusiasm than myself when it comes to fishing. I just LOVE to FISH and most of all LOVE to CATCH fish.
